| MLS NEXT has announced the dates and locations for MLS NEXT Academy Division teams to qualify for the MLS NEXT Cup 2026. The MLS NEXT Cup is the culminating event of the MLS NEXT season, featuring the top Homegrown and, now, Academy teams from across North America as they compete to win championship titles in various age groups (U13 through U19). Cal North teams are set to compete in the Tucson Regional in October/November 2025 as well as the Mesa Regional in March 2026. |

Cal North and Stanford Medicine Children's Health have teamed up to bring you Beyond90, a youth health and sports medicine initiative, designed to offer every youth soccer player in Northern California the resources to live a healthy and strong life during and beyond the game. This collaboration will also serve as an initiative to promote health and fitness among Northern California kids and provide specialized sports medicine care to young athletes, a group that has experienced a substantial increase in sports-related injuries. |

| While state requirements for youth sports organizations to procure and maintain AEDs has been pushed back to 2028, clubs/leagues will still be required to train their coaches on CPR and AED usage in 2027. Organizations should begin planning for staff training and emergency response procedures, budget for AED acquisition, maintenance, and testing ahead of the 2028 deadline, and familiarize themselves with the full text of the amended bill while consulting their legal or risk management advisors. |

| Cal North is now accepting bylaw change proposals. Member organizations have the opportunity to submit proposed changes to the Cal North bylaws. Proposals will be voted on by Cal North affiliated members next spring during our Annual General Meeting on April 18 or 19, 2025. Any proposed changes to the bylaws must be electronically submitted no later than Friday, December 19, 2025. Proposals may be submitted by: - A Cal North affiliated league (must be submitted by the League President)

Thank you to all who participated in the 2025-26 Cal North State ODP Tryouts. With so many elite athletes competing for limited spots, the selection process was highly competitive and challenging for our coaches. The list below includes those who have been selected for the 2025-26 ODP pools. Season details will be sent out next week. Please note that ALL tryout participants may still be called up for international travel opportunities. Players not selected may request feedback by completing the 25/26 Player Feedback Request Form (Tryouts) by October 13th. |
