Now, for the first time in 32 years, these legends are reuniting for a once-in-a-generation celebration and Cal North is proud to partner with America SCORES Bay Area for this unforgettable event.
Join soccer legends of the past and present at the Soccer Legacy Gala as we honor the enduring legacy of the ’94 World Cup and support the next generation of players through free play, community fields, and youth development programs.

The U.S. Soccer CTL Level 1 Course, hosted by Washington Youth Soccer Association in a unique collaboration with Utah Youth Soccer Association, Oregon Youth Soccer Association, Nevada Youth Soccer Association, Cal North Soccer, and Wyoming Youth Soccer Association, is a VIRTUAL course. Dates: Jan 7, 2026 - May 29, 2026
Location: Virtual Eligibility Requirements: - To register for the U.S. Soccer CTL Level 1 Course, individuals must meet the following prerequisites:
- At least 18 years of age
- Hold a U.S. Soccer B license
- Have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a club technical leadership role (DOC, Technical Director, Age Group/Gender DOC, GK DOC)
Course Duration: Virtual Format: 20 weeks Course Assessment: During the course experience, there are both formative and summative assessments: - Assignments and projects: Formative assessment
- Final portfolio and interview: Summative assessment
Course Outcome On successful completion of the course assessment, student coaches will receive the U.S. Soccer Club Technical Leadership Level 1 License |

For Cal North administrators, volunteers, and coaches: This is an advance notice of an upcoming adjustment to the pricing of JDP background checks, which will take effect on January 1, 2026. This adjustment is the result of a cost increase passed on to Cal North by JDP. The updated pricing will be as follows: - First-Time Background Check:
$16.00 - Returning Coach Background Check:
$6.00
While we recognize that price increases are never ideal, this adjustment reflects the increased costs received from JDP and is necessary to ensure Cal North can continue to administer these essential safety measures in a sustainable and responsible manner. Background checks remain a foundational component of our commitment to providing a safe and positive environment for all players, families, and participants across Cal North programs. We appreciate your understanding and continued partnership as we work to uphold the highest standards of safety and compliance. |

December 11 – Kickoff to Tu Momento, Tu Jugada
Telemundo’s nationwide community engagement tour leading into the FIFA World Cup 2026™ officially kicked off in Santa Clara, a host city for the tournament. The large-scale youth soccer celebration brought together nearly 400 students for soccer drills led by the San Jose Earthquakes, Oakland Roots, Oakland Soul and Street Soccer USA, along with interactive experiences and community programming, launching an eight-city national tour.

El tour nacional comunitario de Telemundo rumbo a la Copa Mundial de la FIFA 2026™ arrancó oficialmente en Santa Clara, ciudad sede del torneo. El evento reunió a cerca de 400 estudiantes en una gran celebración de fútbol juvenil con clínicas dirigidas por el San Jose Earthquakes, Oakland Roots, Oakland Soul y Street Soccer USA, además de experiencias interactivas y actividades comunitarias, marcando el inicio de una gira nacional por ocho ciudades.
